To ensure that the correct tone is achieved, it is recommended to schedule trial tans. This allows you to see how the spray tan looks and make any necessary modifications before the actual wedding day.

How many days before my wedding should I get tanned?

We recommend tanning two days before your wedding to achieve the optimum shade. Your tan will be perfectly formed, and any excess bronze should be gone.

How long do I leave my tan on after my wedding tan?

For a lighter shade of bronze, rinse off the tan 2 hours after application. If you prefer a richer and deeper tone, you can leave the tan on for up to 6 hours. Most of our clients typically choose a medium to light shade and wash off the tan after 3-4 hours.

After your spray tan, it is important to be extremely careful as the tan formula is developing on your skin. It is advisable to wear loose-fitting clothing and avoid any activities involving water or liquids that could potentially disrupt the tan, such as washing dishes, exercising, or getting caught in the rain.

After washing off your spray tan for the specified period of time, moisturise with a tan-friendly moisturiser. Bondi Sands Moisturisers are pH balanced and developed to moisturise the skin while also helping your tan last longer.

Preparation before Wedding Tan-

Tanning-schedule-for-wedding
  • Make sure to get your nails, hair washing/colouring, and any other pre-wedding appointments done at least a day before your spray tan to ensure that your skin is clean.
  • Exfoliating your skin in the shower is essential, and it is best to do so 24 hours before your spray tan appointment. This timeframe allows your pores to close up properly.
  • To reduce the risk of skin irritation or redness, use an oil-free exfoliant that is organic and suited for delicate skin.
  • Moisturisers should be avoided before your spray tan. Moisturiser works as a barrier, preventing your tan from developing to its full, rich potential.
  • To ensure the best results for your spray tan, it is recommended to schedule any waxing treatments before your wedding ahead of your spray tan appointment. It is advised to leave a minimum of 24 hours between these two appointments. This allows time for the hair follicles to settle and reduces the risk of a patchy tan.
  • On the day of your spray tan, it is important to refrain from applying makeup, perfumes, or deodorants. These products can interfere with the development of an even tan.
  • After your session, wear dark, loose-fitting clothing or Self Tanning Robe to avoid rubbing or strange lines.

Will my Tan stain My Dress?

bride-wedding-day-tanNo, the spray tan should not leave any stains on your dress, especially if you have had your spray tan a few days before your wedding and you have taken at least two showers, as this should remove any residue from the bronzer. If you do happen to get any tan on your dress, it should come out when taking it to a dry cleaning service.

Is there anything I should do on the day of My Wedding?
